Accuracy is generally within 10Ð30 feet (3Ð10 meters), depending on the machine’s GPS signal. The geofence boundary itself is as precise as the map data. Very small geofences are not recommended (such as a small equipment shed) as the telematics device accuracy may not register correctly. For best practice, it is suggested that the geofence be approximately 100 feet.
